A worker who died after being hit by a car rebuilding a bridge on the SC-350 in Ituporang has been identified. The accident occurred on Tuesday (5) at 400 km of the highway.
Matheus Enrique Braga Souza, 22, was working on the construction of a bridge over the Bugres River when he was hit by a semi-trailer. Information about wakes and burials has not been disclosed.

Firefighters and military traffic police were called to provide first aid to the victim.
Witnesses at the scene reported that at the time of the incident, workers were removing an excavator from the semi-trailer of a truck that was transporting equipment.
Matheus crawled under the side used for loading and unloading cargo at the rear of the semi-trailer. Another witness also claimed that he shouted at the young man to leave the area as he might get hit.
The semi-trailer’s plank broke free from the body of the excavator and the structure fell, striking him in the head and killing him instantly. Firefighters arrived on scene and confirmed that the victim had suffered a severe head injury and was unable to resist his injuries.
