This Wednesday Ertzaintza arrested a total of four people for causing public disorder in incidents before the match between Real Sociedad and Benfica Lisbon (Portugal). which took place at the Reale Arena in San Sebastian.

According to the Basque Security Department, around half past five in the afternoon, on the eve of the match. Champions League Riots broke out between Real Lisbon and Benfica near the Anoeta stadium, in the vicinity of Plaza de Armeria.

In this situation, police officers involved in securing the football match had to intervene, and three people were arrested for disturbing public order. Detainees, 26, 32 and 42 years oldwere transferred to the Donostia police station to carry out the necessary procedures.

Quarrels spread throughout the area, accompanied by the throwing of flares, chairs and attacks with sticks. Charges were laid for police interference.

Ertzaintza subsequently arrested a fourth person involved in the disturbances in the vicinity of the Reale Arena football stadium. The detainee, a 21-year-old young man, was taken to the police station for appropriate procedures.
