A 66-year-old man drowned late Tuesday (24) in the Pacheco area of Palos. According to the CBMSC (Combat Fire Service), he was walking on the sidewalk when he lost his balance and fell into the river.

The incident occurred near Nelson Floriano Campos Street. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Despite help, the man drowned
According to CBMSC, the garrisons were called in the late afternoon and quickly moved to the location. The victim, 66 years old, was unconscious.
Firefighters tried multiple CPR techniques for nearly an hour, but the man died at the scene.

Second case in a week
Another similar incident occurred on the river in Palos last Saturday (21). This time, the body of a man who had been missing since Monday (16) was found in the Imaruim River.
However, according to police, the man had a record of theft, discharging a firearm, dangerous driving, bodily harm, bodily harm, threats, drug dealing, robbery and criminal mischief.
According to Palosa General Representative Monica Manganelli Coimbra Forcerlini, the crime is being investigated by the DIC (Department of Criminal Investigations).
