“I have a cockroach on my plate,” says a couple who recently went to several restaurants in central Blumenau to avoid paying their bill. Entrepreneurs were suspicious of repeated cases and suspicion of a coup of the so-called “cockroach couple”.

A “couple of cockroaches” has targeted at least five restaurants in recent days, traders said.

“The couple appears to be taking a tour of the city’s restaurants. Always the same punch. They eat and eventually find a cockroach in the food. In addition to bringing a cockroach, they make a scandal in the restaurant, ”said one of the owners.

From what the column learned, one of the businessmen turned to the Civil Police and wrote a statement to the police.

In one of the restaurants targeted by the alleged scammers, the couple ate food worth 480 reais.

“The table they chose was right in the corner. They ordered two servings of breaded shrimp, and one serving would easily be enough for two. They then ate another pizza and at the end they ordered a very large mixed salad. “A cockroach appeared in the salad,” another entrepreneur commented.

The merchants declined to divulge the names of the restaurants involved. The purpose of the businessmen is to warn other food businesses of the couple’s visits.
