This Saturday (20) MCH (Ministry of Health) is hosting the D-Day of the National Polio Vaccination and Polio Vaccination Campaign. In the Itajai Valley, cities such as Blumenau, Brusque, Gaspard and Indayal will join the movement. Find out how it will work in each city.

The goal of the Ministry of Health is to achieve polio vaccination coverage in the age group 1 to 5 years equal to or greater than 95%, in addition to updating vaccination cards for children under 15 years of age. .

The campaign, which began on August 8, will run until September 9, and its main goal is to increase vaccination coverage, prevent the spread of diseases such as measles, or the re-emergence of viruses already eradicated in Brazil, such as polio.

National Immunization Schedule vaccines available for map update: Hepatitis A and B, Penta (DTP/Hib/Hep B), Pneumococcal 10-valent, VIP (Inactivated Polio Vaccine), HRV (Human Rotavirus Vaccine), Meningococcal C (conjugated) , OPV (oral polio vaccine), yellow fever, MMR (measles, rubella, mumps), tetraviral (measles, rubella, mumps, varicella), DTP (triple bacterial vaccine), varicella, and quadrivalent HPV (papillomavirus person).

HPV, dT (double adult), yellow fever, MMR, hepatitis B, dTpa, and meningococcal ACWY (conjugated) vaccines are available for adolescents. All immunizers that are part of the National Immunization Program (PNI) are safe and registered by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).

The vaccination campaigns will coincide with the current immunization against Covid-19. Vaccines against Covid-19 can be administered simultaneously or at any interval with other vaccines according to the National Population Calendar from the age of three.

Blumenau

AGF (general family outpatient clinics) and about 30 ESF (Family Health Strategy) offices will be open from 8:00 to 17:00 to vaccinate the population without the need for scheduling.

The only requirements are the presentation of a vaccination card, an official photo ID, and minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
