The military fire service of Gaspar in Vale do Itajaí rescued eight puppies stuck in a pipe connecting two manholes on Avenida Santa Teresinha, in the area of the same name.
The incident occurred at around 3:30 pm this Saturday (16). At the scene of the incident, the pedestrian spoke with rescuers and said that he called 193 after hearing barking coming from the hatches.
Using special tools, including a crowbar, firefighters entered the culvert and managed to reach the river drainage network. When the fireman arrived at the pipe collection box, there were eight puppies barking.

However, the security forces did not specify whether the animals ended up there, whether they were abandoned or whether they were placed there on purpose. According to firefighters, the pedestrian who called rescuers was left with the puppies rescued from the hatch.
