“Everyone is participating in this working group to talk to the community about the importance of these projects.”
Martins also announced the progress of a specific project: the construction of the railway between Chapeco and Correa Pinto. The work, which will be carried out by Nova Engevix Engenharia e Projetos SA from Florianópolis, is expected to be completed in October next year. year.
Jerry Compher, Minister of Infrastructure, recalled the logistical challenges the state faced due to recent rains and stressed the importance of considering more efficient alternatives for transporting Santa Catarina produce.

Drevek emphasized that producers need to import resources from other states and that integrating the rail line with central-west Brazil would bring many benefits: “It will make it easier to transport these resources and make us more competitive.”
He also noted the importance of delivering products to the ports of Santa Catarina for export to other countries. “If we don’t integrate the west of Santa Catarina with our coastline, we could lose space. Both projects are important.”
