A 48-year-old man died from electrocution while washing a car on Wednesday evening (29) in the Barra de Luis Alves area of Ilhota, in Vale do Itajaí.
Neighbors allegedly caught the man still glued to a running car wash and his entire house short-circuited. The fire department responded to the incident around 9:40 p.m., reporting the victim was dead in the backyard.
At the scene, firefighters found a man lying on the ground, cyanotic and already in rigor mortis, holding a car wash hose. However, according to information from rescuers, there is a suspicion that the man was the victim of an industrial accident due to electric shock.
Neighbors said that when they found the victim, there was an electrical short circuit in his house, and the washer jet and water were turned on. The civilian police were called upon to take normal measures.
