The woman killed in a two-vehicle collision in Ilhota, Vale do Itajaí, has been identified. The accident occurred on Monday morning (20) on the Jorge Lacerda highway.
Rita de Cassia Barbosa, 31, was rescued by firefighters and taken to the Marieta Conder Hospital in Itajaí. However, she died from her injuries when she was hospitalized at the infirmary.
On social media, Rita’s friends and family mourned her death and expressed their affection and love for her.
“An incredible person I had the pleasure of meeting, always happy, smiling and positive,” the friend wrote.
“A person with a huge heart, she never had a bad time, she always played with us. Our every party, every game will remain in our memory. May God welcome you with open arms,” another friend shared.

The accident was recorded at around 11:47 on the 8th km of the highway between Renault Kwid and Peugeot.
Rita became trapped in the equipment of the Renault Kwid and was found with multiple injuries, according to firefighters. After she was pulled from the car, Samu (Mobile Emergency Services) took her to the hospital, but she died from her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was detained and transported to UPA Cordeiros in an Ilgota Fire Department ambulance.
The third victim, the driver of the Peugeot, was outside the vehicle and was treated and taken to Marieta Conder Hospital by staff from the Samu main ward.
