A 50-year-old man shot and killed his 59-year-old ex-wife and committed suicide after the crime.

The incident occurred in broad daylight near the Celesc de Gaspar store and was witnessed by residents and traders in the region. Witnesses told police that a man was stalking his ex-wife Tuesday morning.

Police authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crime. Everything indicates that this was an attempt at reconciliation. “A few days ago we also had an incident with this civilian here in the neighborhood, and today, unfortunately, he came for her,” explained Sergeant Pires from the military police in an interview with Radio 89 FM.

The General Institute of Forensic Medicine (IGP) Blumenau was at the scene to collect the bodies. Civilian police were also called.
