Balneario Gaivota is one of the municipalities in southern SC where there is controversy over the cost of oral hygiene kits. This has been one of the issues that has dominated the debate in recent days. The municipal government believes the dispute can be put to rest after the ministers of health and education went to the city council to answer questions from council members.
Members of the Balneario Gaivota council discussed the controversy regarding the Kreser Sorrindo program kits. The municipality received an amendment of approximately 600,000 reais to join the program. There is a suspicion of inflated prices.
Secretaries Onese Medeiros (Health) and Thais Martins Borges (Education) said that the contents of the kits, which have not yet been delivered to students, still consist of training and qualification of teachers by the company that won the tender. Hence the cost.
The Growing Smile program in Balneario Gaivota will reach 1,000 students from kindergarten to pre-school education, as well as all students from grades 1 to 5 in municipal schools in Balneario Gaivota. Teachers will undergo training, receive certificates and take distance learning courses.
Apparently, the disagreements are limited to the explanations given by the City Council.
