Having accused her husband of assault and domestic violence, Ana Hickmann this Monday published photos with her 10-year-old son Alesinho and thanked fans for their kind words. It was the anchor’s first public appearance since the case became public.

Last Saturday, the 42-year-old presenter filed a police report against her husband, businessman Alexander Correa, 51, for bodily harm and domestic violence. The incident occurred after an argument in the house where they live in Itu, Sao Paulo, during the day and in front of the couple’s son. Correa acknowledged the controversy but denied there were “more serious consequences.”

Military police were called to Ana Hickmann’s home in Itu last Saturday following a “disagreement” between her and her husband, the TV presenter’s press office said. In the note, she also says that she was “taken to the police station to clarify the facts.”

Ana said she managed to get her husband away at the time, but when she ran to get her cell phone, which was outside the house, he closed the sliding door separating the rooms by pressing on her left hand.
