Gospel singer Sarah Mariano’s husband Ederlan Mariano confessed to the crime on Friday evening (27) after recognizing the victim’s body. He was arrested by the Bahian civil police, the UOL portal reports.

Sarah Mariano has been missing since Tuesday (24). The singer’s body, as reported by the R7 portal, was found burnt in a forested area next to the highway in the city of Diaz d’Avila (Birginia) this Friday.

The gospel singer lived in the capital of Bahia, El Salvador, and was planning to travel to the city of Diaz d’Avila to perform. Sarah even posted a video on social media that showed her traveling to a city in the National Capital Region.

According to R7, the woman had previously told her loved ones that she wanted to tell them something serious. According to her family, she complained that her relationship with her husband was rocky and marked by many arguments, including abuse by Ederlan.
