The intersection of BR 470 and 101 in Navegantes, on the northern coast of SC, will soon have a new viaduct. Work on the construction of new interchanges is part of the duplication of BR-470.
The new viaduct, located at the 7th km of the highway, has already had supports and beams laid. Once the remaining beams, slabs and paving stones have been lifted, the site can be opened to vehicle traffic.
In the upper reaches, services are developed, the ramp is almost ready. Work is being carried out at night and early in the morning, requiring traffic intervention on BR-101, which is expected to continue over the next few weeks.
New access roads, wider and with a larger turning radius, are also being built to facilitate the passage of long vehicles.
The new loops will benefit drivers heading north on BR-101 who need to enter the BR-470 towards Blumenau, as well as drivers leaving Navegantes on BR-470 and heading north on BR-101.
According to the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), the viaduct is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024.
