This Wednesday (18) six airports in France were evacuated, as well as the Palace of Versailles. The country is in a state of “extreme danger” after the murder of a teacher in Arras, France.
Five days after the death of Professor Dominique Bernard, France recorded several bomb threats, such as on Tuesday (17) and Saturday (14) at the Palace of Versailles.
Email attack threats
On Tuesday morning (18), due to “attack threats” received by email, the cities of Lille, Lyon (Bron), Nantes, Nice, Toulouse and Beauvais were evacuated, according to a police source provided to AFP. This measure did not affect the airports of Paris, Orly and Charles de Gaulle.
Air traffic watchdog Eurocontrol warned airlines that Toulouse, Lille and Beauvais airports were “inaccessible for security reasons.”
“There was only one alert about a suspicious package, something routine, which forced a security perimeter to be set up, but everything went back to normal,” Nice Airport said.
Louvre closed due to bomb threat
Amid escalating international tensions, not only over the war between Israel and Hamas, but also between Ukraine and Russia, the Louvre in Paris was temporarily evacuated last Saturday (14) due to fears of a terrorist attack.
