Country singer Edecio Nascimento, 76 years old, who used the stage name Ramalho, was found dead this Wednesday afternoon (4) in Passos, municipality of the state of Minas Gerais. The artist disappeared on September 27 in Zumara, in the interior of Sao Paulo.

The truck driver, named Joel, was arrested and confessed to the crime. CCTV footage released by Cidade Alerta showed the killer attacking the singer with a hoe.

The police reached Joel using the truck’s tracker. He had a trip to Bahia, and on the way he took the opportunity to dump the body at Passos, where he gave birth.

The owner of the truck stop where Edecio worked and where Joel parked the car was also arrested on suspicion of involvement in the crime. Police are still investigating the motive for the murder.

The country singer disappeared in the early hours of September 27th. CCTV images captured the moment a 76-year-old man fell asleep in the garage of his home located in Zumara, in the interior of Sao Paulo.

A few minutes later, the footage shows Joel brutally attacking Edecio with a hoe. After this, filming stops for a moment, and when they return, the singer has disappeared.

The Edecio family gave the device to the police in an attempt to recover the erased part. “Hint in this post: they [polícia] They have the opportunity to restore it, that’s our hope,” the singer’s daughter told Record TV.
