She was identified as Roselle Rades, born in José Boite, a woman stabbed to death by her boyfriend on Monday evening (4) in Vitmarsum, in Alto Vale do Itajai. The woman was buried in her hometown and will have her birthday on Tuesday (5).
According to a civil police spokesman for the Prezidente Getúlio district, which covers the city of Witmarsum, the accused of femicide against Roseli passed a detention hearing on Tuesday (6) and his arrest at the scene of the crime was converted into a preventive measure. That’s why he stays in jail.
“In the APF (Auto de Prison in Flagrant) all the witnesses were questioned. The only thing missing from this procedure is the (report) of the crime scene compiled by the scientific police and the cadaveric examination of the victim, which is not yet ready,” explains delegate Juliano Tumitan in charge of the case.
The death of a woman caused a shock
On social media, Roselle’s family left tributes and farewell messages. Her son also commented on the cause of his mother’s death.
“She was stabbed out of jealousy by her then-husband. At the same time, I want to thank everything that she did to me during these 19 years that I lived with her, ”he wrote.
According to the publication, Roselle’s body was buried in her hometown, at the evangelical cemetery of Alto Rio Wiegand, in the countryside of José Buate. The farewell ceremony took place at 8 am.
Before being arrested, the suspect surrendered to the duty sergeant.
On Monday (4th) at about 8 pm, a military police officer on leave was approached by a local resident who said that he had killed his partner and that he had gone to the officer’s house to hand over the knife used in the crime, registered in Villa New.
The police officer informed the suspect of the arrest and shortly thereafter proceeded to the woman’s house, which, according to civilian police, was not far from the policeman’s house. At this time, the suspect got into his car and fled.
The military briefed other officers on duty about the characteristics of the suspect’s car, a Chevrolet Celta, in an attempt to recapture him. A few minutes later, he was approached in the nearby town of Vítor Meireles and, according to civilian police, showed signs of intoxication.
In parallel, other military police brigades went to the house where the crime took place and confirmed the facts. The area was isolated pending the arrival of specialists and Samu (mobile emergency services), where medical assistance was also called.
However, the woman no longer had any signs of life. The scientific police were called to retrieve the body, and the civilian police were also present to start an investigation.
