A missing businessman was found dead with stab wounds in Florianopolis on Tuesday (29), civilian police said. Gustavo Sagas, 34, has been missing since Monday (28th) when he left home to buy a truck engine in Rio do Sul. According to family records, he had 40,000 reais.

According to police chief Knio Matos, the body was found on a beach in Mozambique, in the north of the island. The Civil Police still have no suspicions about the authorship and motivation of the crime. The money was also not found.

Missing businessman had 40,000 reais and was hitchhiking

According to the BO (Boletim de Occurrence) on the disappearance, the businessman went to buy a truck engine for 40,000 reais in cash.

The document says that he first stopped at the house of an unknown person to hitchhike to Rio do Sul, where he bought an engine.

The victim was reportedly in contact with his family and his earthmoving company until 8:00 p.m. Monday, when the last contact took place.

The wife contacted the man from whom he was going to buy the engine, who said that the businessman was not in Rio do Sul.
