The man who installed the electric fence that killed a child in Joinville, north of Santa Catarina, was released this Wednesday (31) after posting a bail of 1,500 reais.
According to MP Raffaello Ross, the owner of the house was arrested red-handed for manslaughter last Saturday (27), but will be held liable for this crime. “According to him, the purpose of the installation was to isolate the dogs that entered his territory,” explains Ross.
However, according to the delegate, the 11-year-old boy was playing with other friends in the playground behind the house, where makeshift electrical wiring was installed.
“According to the suspect, the wiring was installed very recently, about three days ago, and during the day it was not working, but the author forgot to turn it off that day,” says Raffaello Ross.
According to Ross, the civilian police asked the scientific police to conduct a forensic examination on the spot to confirm the dynamics of the case, which took place in the Morro do Meio area.
