A 29-year-old man was arrested with 516 smuggled e-cigarettes in Pinhalzinho, west of Santa Catarina. The case was registered by the Prime Minister (military police) at around 4:00 pm on Saturday (27).
The garrison was on patrol when they noticed that the driver of the Amarok accelerated hard to get out of the police line of sight. The scene attracted the attention of the agents, who decided to approach the car, which was carrying four people.
The suspects were found only personal documents and cash. Already in a conversation with each of the approached, a discrepancy in the stories told was noticed. As a result, the car was searched.
The car was taken to a rubber goods store for inspection. The spare had 448 e-cigarettes in boxes, plus 68 unassembled.
The 29-year-old man claimed to be the owner of the products and said he bought them in the city of Dionisiou Cerqueira. In this regard, the garrison called the federal police, and the goods were taken to the federal police station in the city of Chapeco for appropriate action.
