A 32-year-old man (31) was arrested this Friday on suspicion of raping a relative. A teenage girl, and the crime was supposed to take place at the home of the victim, who lives in Garuve, north of Santa Catarina.

According to MP Eduardo Defaveri, the man was a relative of the victim. He was the stepson of the girl’s grandmother. Information about the possible crime of rape was received by the police station through the Board of Trustees on Thursday (30).

Based on this, the Civil Police took preliminary measures, followed by a request for a preventive arrest of the suspect, a search and seizure of the premises. On the same day, the prosecutor’s office and the judiciary called for his arrest.

Therefore, this Friday morning, police officers served a warrant for the arrest of the suspect. He was found and detained at work. Then, a search and seizure was carried out at his place of residence, as a result of which items that could be related to the crime were seized.

After his arrest, the man was taken to a custody hearing at the Garuva Forum and then taken to the regional prison in Joinville. The police station is continuing to investigate and further steps may be taken until the police investigation is completed.
