Gaspar City Hall announced that due to the suspension of state government funds agreed in the 100 Plan, revitalization work on section 2 of Via Prefeito Leopoldo Schramm in the Gaspar Grande neighborhood has been paralyzed.

Work began in September 2022, after a decree from the government of Santa Catarina guaranteed a contribution of 5 million reais towards the work.

To perform the city was waiting for the counterparty and performed the work until now. However, due to the municipality’s counterpart value being achieved and the lack of handover from the state government, work was paralyzed.

According to the mayor’s office, the total cost of the work is 8,566,564 reais, of which 3,566,564 reais is paid by the municipality and 5 million reais by the state government.

Gaspar’s municipal government said it had already invested in its counterpart to ensure the work was started and carried out so far. However, the importance of the state government is essential to the continuation and completion of the work and has not yet been sent and continues without a forecast.

Also, according to the municipality, the amount should be transferred to the mayor’s office by agreement, as provided for in the decree published in 2022.

In February 2023, a delegation from the City Hall of Gaspar and representatives of the Association of Municipalities of the European Valley (AMVE) took part in a meeting organized by deputies from the region and the state government, which guaranteed the answer or forecast of the payment of the commitments made by the government earlier in early March. However, without a forecast, the mayors and AMVE continue to collect the agreed transfers.

“The significance of these resources for the municipality was reinforced by the secretary. The city was making a whole plan, and we were counting on these transfers to continue the work. The entire population suffers from this uncertainty. We had other work with an ordinance, a formal commitment to guarantee the transfer of resources, that was waiting to start and that we had to put on hold, and now we are looking for other resources. However, Rua Mayor Leopoldo Schramm has already started and we need to keep the commitment going,” Van Dall notes.

Implementation of paving and drainage Rua Pref. Leopoldo Schramm includes the section between the intersection with Via Rosalina Teiss and the junction with Estradas Geral Gaspar Grande and Estrada Geral da Garuba, with a length of 2062 meters.

Among the services that the work receives are the execution of the base layer and the underlayer with compacted crack, asphalt concrete paving, drainage and signaling.

In addition to paving Rua Pref. Leopoldo Schramm, Gaspar, is also awaiting funding from the state government for the redevelopment of section 2 Rua Frei Solano, which will also receive 5 million reais, as well as about 1 million reais from the municipality. It will also transfer 1.1 million rupees to the physical structure of the general adult intensive care unit.

The City Hall also notes the implementation of the sewerage system for the Centro, Santa Terezinha and Sete de Setembro districts. R$ 30 million was provided for this work, in addition to R$ 5 million for the start of the second phase of the Marine Park.
