Another incident of racism occurred in Joinville, north of Santa Catarina. In the early hours of February 11 (Saturday), a 45-year-old man called a Type nightclub security guard a “monkey”. The crime took place around 1:40 am on Avenida Getulio Vargas in the city center.
As seen in the video below, the man starts verbally attacking the guard and finally calls him a “monkey”. A 46-year-old nightclub security guard called the military police and reported the incident.
According to the victim, the attacker said that the employees of the nightclub were thieves and stole his car.
The author told the Prime Minister that “the original motivation was that his car had disappeared and he asked the guard about the whereabouts of the car.”

Taking into account the facts, a police report was drawn up and a video was attached as evidence of the crime of racism.
According to MP Vandilson Moreira da Silva, the man was arrested and taken to a custody hearing the same day. At the custody hearing, he was released under a safeguard obligation and will face charges for the crime of racism (practice, incitement or incitement to discriminate or prejudice on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion or national origin).
