CBM (Military Fire Service) Niteroi discovered last Sunday (12) two bodies in Guanabara Bay, close to the Rio Niteroi bridge. Fishermen from the region who roamed around the site informed the authorities. The corpses of the man and woman were taken to the IML (Medical Institute of Law) for examination.

Relatives of two missing in the crash of the trawler Caiçara were called to determine if the bodies belonged to Fabio Dantas Soares, 46, and Isabel Cristina de Sousa Borges, 38. and Packet Islands, 14 people on board. Six survived, six died, two are still missing.
The case is being investigated by the Civil Police, which launched an investigation to establish the cause of the death of the trawler. The survivors will be heard and the police will determine if there was negligence, malpractice or recklessness of the ship’s driver, identified as Marcos Paulo da Silva.
