A 56-year-old woman was stabbed by her 54-year-old partner in Campos Novos, in the Midwest of Santa Catarina. The crime of attempted femicide was registered by the Prime Minister (military police) on Tuesday (6) on Rua Danusia Bess in the Señor Bom Jesus area.

According to the Prime Minister, the woman received a stab wound to the chest and was rescued and taken to the hospital by the local fire department.

According to witnesses, the suspect fled in a silver Fiat/Uno. The place was isolated and the Scientific Police and the Civil Police were called in for an examination.

Off-duty military police officers were called to help in the search for the suspect. At around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, the Prime Minister received a call to the ground where a Fiat/Uno was hiding in a forest in the Ibiqui area.

The garrisons drove to the scene and found a car with the same characteristics as the escaped suspect, but there was no person in the car. After a search in the forest, the suspect was located and taken to the civilian police station, where he was taken for the crimes of attempted murder and home invasion.
