substation Celesk Itajaí Salseiros, located at Dr. The Reinaldo Schmithausen between the Cordeiros and Salseiros areas in Itajaí is undergoing a major renovation.
The work is expected to be completed within a day December 23 with capacity expansion.
The process is of course complex enough to modernize the installation, it is necessary to dismantle the structure and then reassemble it with new equipment, but with the task of not interrupting the supply of electricity to the city of Itajai.
In terms of work, Thiago Müller Martins, manager of the solar energy department at Quantum Engenharia, the company responsible for the project, explains that the site will house a new 138 kilovolt sector and two 40 MVA transformers, providing more power and safety to the gearbox .
Another difference of the project, he says, is the use of 10 hybrid modules, which, in addition to being more modern, are compact equipment and make better use of physical space.
When the project began in January 2021, the company divided the project into five work phases and established a predetermined sequence of execution.
And the precise execution of this work served to ensure the provision of energy supply services on an ongoing basis, as well as maintaining energy supply to consumers until the final completion of the work.
The company released 5 execution phases works on the modernization of the substation Itajai – Salceiros
Phase 1:
– Installation of three 69 kV hybrid switching modules – more modern and smaller – with the replacement of the circuit breaker and switch-disconnector;
Level 2:
– With the installation of the equipment of the 1st stage, the dismantling of the existing section of the 69 kV substation was carried out;
Phase 3:
– Installation of another 69 kV line 03 hybrid module at the demolished site as part of Phase 2;
– The relocation of four transmission lines in the area of the substation is considered to be the activity with the highest level of complexity and risk for the entire project;
Phase 4:
– At the completion of Phase 3, the remaining section of 69 kV was de-energized and demolished;
– Demolition of a temporary section of 138 kV with the release of space for the construction of a new section of 138 kV;
Phase 5:
– Implementation of the new 138 kV sector provided by the project, using the space freed up with the end of Phase 4.
