A 40-year-old woman was attacked with a knife in Concordia, west of Santa Catarina. The case was reported in the Groot area around 23:30 on Wednesday (12). According to the military police, the suspect may have been the victim’s former companion, who was having a fit of jealousy.

Police said the victim’s neighbors told them she was attacked. The garrison went to the emergency room of a San Francisco hospital, where they found a woman who was already being treated by doctors.

According to the Prime Minister, the woman was undergoing treatment and could not provide information. The victim’s son was the one who spoke to the garrison and told what was about to happen. The woman had several stab wounds, one of them deeper.

The teenager reported that he was sleeping at that time and was awakened by a noise. He saw how the mother’s ex-partner attacked her with a knife. The young man tried to protect her, but was also wounded by several blows.

According to the Military Police, the teenager said that the man would have taken a knife in the kitchen, and the woman would have run out into the street, after which he followed the victim and knocked her down. The fact was supposed to happen in the morning, but only at night was this reported to the garrison.

The Prime Minister would have gone to the address of the claim, searched it, but the suspect had already fled. Since time passed between the activation of the PM and the fact, the garrison reported that they were slowing down the search for the man.

The incident was registered and the case was referred to the civilian police department. It is not known if the suspect had a police record. According to police, the victims are in the hospital and everything is fine with them.
