On Sunday (9) a drunken father would try to strangle his daughter and point a knife at his son-in-law in an attempt to protect the victim. His wife, a 49-year-old woman, said the man was very upset.

She also said that she tried to divorce him and that on other occasions she would run after her and another 10-year-old daughter, threatening to set their house on fire. According to the 19-year-old victim, the reason for the attack was a quarrel. Her husband went after his father-in-law, preventing him from continuing his aggression.

The 49-year-old suspect received the vote of arrest and was taken to the Itajai police station.

On Sunday afternoon, a man allegedly tried to set fire to his 18-year-old daughter’s house after an argument between the two. Her father would break her TV and the door, and even threatened that he would set fire to the victim’s things. When the police arrived, the suspect fled. As the garrison left the scene, the man returned and opened the house’s gas bottle, saying he would set fire to the house.

The police returned to the house and found a 48-year-old man. He was taken to the Itajai police station after receiving an arrest warrant.

“I’ll kill you if I get arrested, when I get out I’ll kill you, you’ll see”

Another case was reported early Monday morning (10) in Barra do Rio. The victim, a 32-year-old woman, said she was hit and even bitten by her partner, who was still threatening her. “I’ll kill you if I get arrested, when I get out I’ll kill you, you’ll see,” he would say, besides picking up a knife.

A neighbor came to the woman’s aid. A man would still take some things to a friend’s house so that he could return to his place. The officers remained nearby and were soon called back to the house.

The suspect was found hiding in a nearby yard. He continued cursing the victim even after hearing the approach until the police managed to handcuff him. He, like the victim, was taken to the police station.

The victim also reported that the second time the suspect came to her home, he scolded her, saying, “I don’t go in because I don’t want to, but you pay me,” in addition to damaging her car.

Her children were in the house and witnessed the threats. The man admitted to scolding the woman, but denied the threats. He was caught red-handed.
