One of the suspects in the murder of store owner Miriam Hatsue Abe, a crime that rocked the north Santa Catarina city of Garuwa on September 10, was arrested by police about ten days after the murder.

The crime took place on Saturday morning when the shop owner was at her flower shop. A car pulled up with a couple, and the woman got out, calling Miriam. As the victim approached, six shots were fired at him and he died a few minutes later.
