Military traffic police officer, Sergeant Manoel Jailson Adriano, aged 49, died early this Monday (15) at the San José Hospital, in Crisium, where he had been hospitalized since the 28th.SC-446, in Lauro Müller, in south of Santa Catarina.

On social networks, the daughter of a police officer, Yasmine Durante, wrote an emotional account and posted a video in honor of her father (check below). The command of the PMRv (Military Highway Police) also mourned the death of a sergeant who had worked for the corporation for 29 years.

“I still can’t believe you left like this, so soon and so suddenly!” Just yesterday I saw you with endless plans, with the desire to win, with dreams that need to be fulfilled. If I knew that your smile and your grip on my arm was goodbye, I would have stayed longer. But life always surprises us, and this time it surprised me in this way (which I was very afraid of),” he said.

“It feels like I was punched in the stomach and my world collapsed. The pain is great, the emptiness is even greater, but I know that you are watching over me and giving me the strength to go on! Follow us wherever you are! I love you endlessly,” the girl continued.

The soldier leaves behind a wife and three daughters. His commemoration will take place this Monday (15) at the Burial Chapel of Barro Branco, in Lauro Müller, and the funeral is scheduled for 17:00.

According to the PMRv, the collision occurred when the police blocked the road. They first heard the sound of motorcycles approaching, presumably at high speed.

Then they noticed that they were two motorcyclists. According to the PMRv, one of them even came in the prone position known as “superman” and in the practice of the splits.

When examining the barrier, one of the motorcyclists would have been able to return to a sitting position and get away from the approach. Another, however, would lose control of the motorcycle and hit the policeman.

As a result of the collision, both participants were transported in serious condition by ASU (Auto Socorro de Urgência) from the fire department to a medical facility in the region. They were subsequently taken to the San José Hospital in Crisium.

Investigation

Regarding the investigation of the case, MP Ulysses Gabriel reported that “at that time the delegate [responsável] requested that the procedure [inquérito policial] wait to see the evolution of the victim’s clinical condition.”

“Given this circumstance, I will collect the corpse report and submit it to the judicial authorities,” he added.
