Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, SpaceX and recently Twitter, changed the main logo of the social network last Sunday (23). Early in the morning, the bird was removed from the main page of the platform, which caused discontent among some Internet users.

In a post on the site, the billionaire owner of the social media platform added: “If a good enough X logo is published tonight, we will make it appear worldwide tomorrow.”

Musk posted an image flashing “X” and later in a Twitter Spaces audio chat, he answered “yes” to the question if the Twitter logo would change, adding that “it should have been done a long time ago.”
Under Musk’s leadership, since buying Twitter in October, the company has changed its trade name to X Corp, reflecting the billionaire’s vision of building a “super app” similar to China’s WeChat.

The Twitter website states that its bluebird logo is “our most recognizable asset”. “That’s why we protect you so much,” the site adds.
In April, the bird was temporarily replaced by Dogecoin’s Shiba Inu dog, which helped boost the meme coin’s market cap.
The company came under widespread criticism from users and marketers when Musk announced earlier this month that Twitter would limit the number of tweets per day that multiple accounts can read.
The daily limits helped grow rival Meta-owned Threads, which surpassed 100 million registrations within five days of launch.
The most recent complication for Twitter was a lawsuit filed on Tuesday alleging that the company owes at least $500 million in compensation to former employees.
Since Musk purchased it, the company has laid off more than half of its workforce to cut costs.
