Floods caused by intense rains recorded this Monday afternoon in the city of Madrid are causing disruptions in various metro lines, problems on some roads and flight deviations who were supposed to land at the Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas airport.

According to Metro de Madrid, train traffic has increased. interrupted on line 10 between Fuencarral and Begoña stations, as well as in line 7 on several sites: between Pueblo Nuevo and Cartagena; and between the Canal and Guzmán el Bueno, and does not stop at Avenida de la Illustracion station in all cases due to “water accumulation”.

For its part, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) warned of complications caused by rain on A-1, between Las Tablas (12 km) and Alcobendas (18 km); V A-2, between Ciudad Lineal (3 km) and Alcala de Henares (28 km); V A-3, between Santa Eugenia (6 km) and Perales de Tajuna (35 km); and in A-6between Puerta de Hierro (8 km) and Majadahonda (18 km).

Similarly, the Madrid Mobility Management Center reported that emergency services are conducting intervention in the M-30in the area of ​​the Colmenar junction, where access to Avenida de la Ilustración is blocked from the external road.

Regarding the state of air traffic, Aena warned of “severe storms” at Barajas Airport, causing some flights to be diverted to other nearby airports.
