The Oktoberfest mood has left Vila Germanica and invaded technology. When the whole city prepares for the biggest German party in America, it’s impossible not to get infected. Taking advantage of the weather, Blusoft-ACATE is personally relaunching Oktober Tech Week, an event aimed at strengthening the innovation ecosystem across Santa Catarina.

Oktober Tech Week was launched in 2019. In 2020, due to the pandemic, it had an online version, and last year it ran in a hybrid way. This year, it returns to full force in-person, bringing in more people who work and are interested in technology.

Now in its fourth edition, the event runs from 17 to 21 October. Its program includes 10 tracks of content covering important topics such as the Metaverse, People, Innovation, Startups, Business, Internationalization, Legal, Entrepreneurship and Investment.

About the Oktober Tech Week schedule

Technology, network and a lot of learning. The fourth edition of Oktober Tech Week is filled with relevant content and great opportunities, including the entire innovation ecosystem of the AMVE region – the Association of Municipalities of European Valleys. Registration is free, tickets can be purchased on the Sympla website.

The official opening of the event took place on Monday 17th at the Blumenau Innovation Center and will be attended by local and state authorities. Most of the Oktober Tech Week 2022 program will take place here. Some of the lectures will be decentralized and will take place in different parts of Blumenau, for example, the Philips panel – Programmer’s Day, which will be held at Philips headquarters; ERES is a regional software development school that will take place in Senai and Oktobercloud.

The first day of the event will focus on the innovation ecosystem, with panels on how incubators can help start-ups, planning for the Blumenau innovation ecosystem, developing an innovation ecosystem through business platforms, and more.

The second day is devoted to the post-pandemic world as a topic with panels on the new economy and people’s relationship with the labor market and people’s relationship with health. Panels on governance and internationalization also take place on the same day.

The third day of Oktober Tech Week focuses on technology and Web 3.0 with panels on best practices for developing secure technologies; what is a venture developer and how does it work; in addition to the problems of the metaverse and its application in business; Fundamentals of Web 3.0 and others.

On the penultimate day, the path of business, entrepreneurship and investment takes place, and on the last day, Developer Day; start-up panels and Philips IT Day celebrations. The full schedule can be found on the event website: www.oktobertechweek.com.br.

“- In this fourth edition, we will have a whole week of programming, and we will bring together topics of interest to the entire community, for technology and innovation. We will be holding events at various locations in Blumenau, expanding the opportunities for more people to participate,” emphasizes Bruno Tiergarten, President of Blusoft-ACATE.

In addition to the trails, there will also be a special moment when Sebrae will officially unveil the Innovation Ecosystem Mapping. The study took place during 2022 with the participation of the entire local ecosystem.
