The Gold Cup Final of the 52nd Andalusian International Tournament organized by the Ayala Polo Club staged point and end of an exciting month of tournaments on the polo fields in Sotogrande.

Since July 24 last year, Gold, Silver and Bronze Cups have been held in the high, medium and low handicap categories. In this edition, the slopes of Sotogrande once again broke records for both spectators and international athletes from countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, England, Germany, France, Argentina, USA, Korea, Germany or Spain.

In various competitions, the level of polo players from all over the world has been impressive. In fact, Sotogrande is ending a season with more female polo players taking part in the tournaments.

The Minister of the Presidium of the Junta of Andalusia, Antonio Sanz, was responsible for closing the tournament and presenting the trophy to the Dubai team, the High Handicap Electrolit Gold Cup champions, which included Camilo Castagnola, Rachid Albvardi, Bartolome Castagnola. and Rufino Laulhe. In the final, Dubai beat MB Polo 9–8.

For their part, Brunei, formed by Bahar Bolkiah, Santiago Tajer, Martin Podesta and Matias McDonough, won the Eletrolit Medium Goal Gold Cup after beating Ayala 13-9; while in the bass category, the Jeju team of David Koh, Santiago Irastorsa, Alejo Badano and Eluan Baradello emerged victorious, defeating Essso 8-7 in the final.

In the ATL Marine & Energy Bronze Cup he won Saint Mem in the High Goal; Amanara with a medium handicap and Cotton House with a low handicap. In the Terralpa Silver Cup, Park Place won with a high handicap, Almasanta with a medium handicap and Aguilas with a low handicap. In the Electrolyte Gold Cup, the high handicap Dubai team, the medium handicap Brunei and the low handicap Jeju polo team were crowned champions.
