NDTV Record TV to Host Round 2 Candidate Debate This Saturday

A week before the second round of elections, which will take place on October 30, voters in Santa Catarina will be able to follow another debate organized by NDTV with candidates for the government of Santa Catarina. Decio Lima (PT) and Jorginho Mello (PL) will face off this Saturday (22) starting at 13:20, also broadcast via the ND+ portal.

In a dynamic format with candidates discussing their ideas, the NDTV debate will focus on highlighting Desio Lima and Jorginho Mello’s proposals for the next four years. The candidates will meet each other with a free topic and also answer questions from guests who are representatives of organizations from Santa Catarina and journalists from the ND Group.

“We are continuing a proposal that has already worked in our other debates by proposing an idea- and project-driven model. This will be an opportunity for the people of Santa Catarina to get to know the candidates and their proposals even better and to make the best decision in the elections,” says Grupo ND Content Director Luis Menegim.

The discussion will be moderated by journalist Paulo Alceu, who looks forward to a productive discussion. “Debating is one of the most visible moments of a political campaign, and this model is attractive to the public.” At all blocks, other journalists from Grupo ND will participate with questions on topics relevant to the state.

After the debate, the ND+ portal published articles and analytical materials by reviewers and commentators of Grupo ND.

“Integrating platforms into our broadcasts has been the highlight of our coverage of the 2022 elections, and we want to continue to capitalize on this by offering quality content in a wide variety of formats,” says Voto+ project coordinator Vanessa da Rocha. .

Multi-platform production and special content is managed by the ND Group’s Center for Data and Investigative Journalism (NDI).

The debates are part of a complex set of actions by the Voto+ editorial board, a project aimed at ensuring the quality of information for the voter.

Special content includes an interactive platform, debates, podcasts and special reports on NDTV and in Notícias do Dia newspaper.
