The Pardal app, created by the Electoral Court for filing complaints, received 555 complaints in Santa Catarina regarding the 2022 elections in a month. In Brazil, the number of records exceeds 16,000. After notification on the platform, the process is sent to the MPE (Public Ministry of Elections).

All complaints to the SC concern irregular pre-election campaigning. The cities leading the record ranking are Florianopolis (74), Blumenau (27) and Joinville (22). You can point to vote buying, the use of the state machine, electoral crimes and illegal advertising.

In Brazil, the app received 16,814 complaints of illegal election campaigning in a month. Complaints resulted in 4,705 cases before the Electoral Court. The calculation is made in accordance with the MPE.

Among the contested positions, most are associated with campaigns for federal (5,777) and state (5,747) MPs. Then come the president (1896), the governor (1115) and the deputy of the district, in the case of the Federal District (547).

Pardal was created in 2014 by the Electoral Court to respond to public complaints about election campaign irregularities. The app was back up and running on August 16 with an updated version to receive complaints about the 2022 elections.

The application is available in mobile phone stores. On the website, you can track complaints, access national and state statistics for all elections, and get guidance on what is allowed and what is not allowed during an election campaign.
