PT candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who has spent the most time on television, highlighted the problems the country is facing, such as poverty, and presented himself as the solution, saying: “People’s lives will improve, we’ve already done it once, and let’s do better.”
In his speech, PT also noted that the Brazilian family is suffering from ever-increasing prices and wages that are barely enough for a basic food basket.
According to Bolsonaro, during his reign there were such problems as a pandemic, drought, war and others. The President emphasized that he had succeeded in acting on behalf of the population, creating jobs and lowering taxes, and spoke about Auxílio Brasil, created to help families in more vulnerable situations.
“We are also serving 20 million families with Auxílio Brasil, currently 600 reais, and this amount will be kept,” Bolsonaro said.
Simone Tebet
Senator Simona Tebet (MDB), the third longest-running campaigner, was keen to reveal a bit about her political trajectory and made her position clear against the Bolsonaro administration. She stated that she would “work hard” for the people.
She committed to working seriously on real proposals to change the lives of Brazilians, such as cheaper food, health, education, employment and opportunity.
Ciro Gomez
PDT candidate Ciro Gomez submitted fewer proposals and said Brazil is one of the countries that is the least economically growing today due to corruption in the country.
“There is only one truth: today in Brazil life is improving only for the rich, certain types of politicians, opportunists and corrupt. It is this system that I want to change,” the candidate emphasized.
