Thousands of people gathered this Saturday morning (25) at the Praia Central de Balneario Camboriú, on the coast of Santa Catarina, to follow the March for Jesus, the main attraction of which was the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

Arriving from Brazil along with other politicians such as Santa Catarina’s deputy governor Daniela Reinehr (LP), Bolsonaro landed at Navegantes International Airport around 9 am. There he drew attention to the fans who were waiting for him.

From there, his retinue went to Balneario Camboriu. A crowd dressed in green and yellow clothes and with a Brazilian flag on their shoulders was waiting for him. The march for Jesus began at Almirante Tamandaré Square from the route through Praia Central.

Along with figures such as Luciano Hang, owner of the Havan mall, and Brazil’s First Lady Michele Bolsonaro, Jair walked across the sand to the Big Wheel, where the stage was set for the official statements of the March for Jesus.
The event was also attended by the Mayor of Balneario Camboriu Fabrizio José Satiro de Oliveira (Podemos) and the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality Carlos Humberto Metzner Silva (Poland), as well as the deputies Sargento Lima (Poland) and Jesse Lopez. (PL) and Ana Caroline Campagnolo (PL).

On the stage of the event, the national anthem was played and prayers were heard on behalf of the president. After that, Jair Bolsonaro spoke.

“It’s great to be among those who have God in their hearts. I thank him for my second life. The mission is not easy, very difficult. We live in a Christian country that in the past got rid of those who wanted to take away our freedom,” he began his speech.

He also defended that “armed men will never be enslaved”. Bolsonaro went on to say that he owes his “loyalty to these people who are here at the front. The cage is to the body what the family is to society.”
At the end, he emphasized that he had “an army of many millions. We know what we want.” The event ended around 12:30. Subsequently, the jet ski began with the addition of jet skis and speedboats.

About 151 military police were involved in ensuring the security of the event. They were assisted by the municipal guard of Balneario Camboriu, the federal police, as well as the Brazilian navy.
Also scheduled this Saturday was a luncheon between the president and businessman Luciano Hang.
