On Tuesday (30), Pomerode civil police in Vale do Itajaí rescued three dogs that had been abused. Two dogs were locked in an aviary in the Ribeirão Areia area. The third was found in the Testo Central area.

The delegate in charge of the investigation, Antonio Godoy, said police had contacted the dogs based on complaints. “When we arrived at the conference venues, we had confirmation of abuse. However, at the time of inspection, both houses were empty,” he said.

The photographs show that the space where the two dogs were locked up was small and completely covered in feces.

After the rescue, the dogs were taken to a veterinarian to assess the health of the puppies. They will now be taken to Sitio Dona Lucia in Blumenau, where they can find shelter.

Two police investigations were launched to investigate the facts.
