The municipal health department confirmed in Chapeco on Tuesday morning (30) the first case of monkeypox in a child in the city. With this diagnosis, the municipality adds two confirmed cases of monkeypox and 11 suspects.

This Monday (29) a 33 year old man died in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) from monkeypox. He became the second victim in the country. The first death was reported in Belo Horizonte (MG) in July.
