From Monday (27th), the Ministry of Health made available the Hemovida app, which aims to promote voluntary blood donation and attract donors. It is available for download.
The tool is integrated with ConectSUS and allows you to find the nearest health network and download a donor card, which contains the blood type and date of last donation.
Hemovida is free and promises to be an intermediary
In its statement, the Ministry of Health emphasized that the Hemovida app is free and can become a bridge between government blood centers and potential donors.
“The application plays an important role in disseminating information about blood donation and ongoing campaigns,” the ministry said.

- Donor card: virtual card with health information, blood type and date of last donation. Provides a personal and useful record in emergency situations.
- My Donations: Full history of donations, including made, canceled and planned. There is also the option to volunteer to donate blood to keep your commitment accounted for.
- Blood Therapy Services: Locates your nearest health network to help you determine where to donate blood and information about services available at each location.
- Invite Friends: Promote blood donation among friends and family by allowing you to share experiences on social media and encourage others to become donors.
- Blood Donation Guidelines: Details on how and who can donate blood, as well as care required on the day of donation. Ensures that donors are well informed and prepared.
- Campaigns: Alerts about regional and national blood donation campaigns, allowing people to participate in initiatives to maintain adequate blood supplies.]
- Evaluating a donation: A look at the donation experience, evaluating the institution, professionalism, and overall satisfaction. Promotes continuous improvement of the donation process.
Hemosc accepts donated blood at the SC
Hemosc is the blood focal point of Santa Catarina, responsible for all activities to promote voluntary blood donation, apheresis and the use of blood for therapeutic purposes.
In addition, he is responsible for ensuring the quality and control of collection, donor qualification, production of blood components, their storage and distribution, and promotes the development of scientific and technological knowledge in this field.
It covers 98% of the state’s territory: seven blood centers, two collection points and eight blood transfusion agencies located in Blumenau, Chapeco, Crisium, Florianopolis, Jaragua do Sul, Joazaba, Joinville, Lajes and Tubarau.
From January to October this year, Hemosc collected 111,710 bags of blood.
