Thor: Taika Waititi says he only accepted film offer because he was poor

During podcast from Insane, director Taika Waititi admitted that not only was he not interested MKU, how he agreed to write Thor films for Marvel just because he was poor. According to him, since he needed to feed his children, he accepted this offer, although this was not part of his plans.
“You know what? I had no interest in making one of those movies.”He said. “This was not my plan for a career as a writer. But I was poor, I had just had my second child, and I thought, “You know what, this would be a great opportunity to feed these kids.”
