A special medical commission visited the Infantil Dr. Jeser Amarante Faria last week.
During the unexpected visit, the parliamentarians talked to the heads of hospitals and got acquainted with the process of servicing the department.
The advisors assessed that it is necessary to expand pediatric care in emergency departments (VPA East, VPA North and VPA South) in order to reduce the number of patients visiting the hospital.
A group of hospital staff accompanied the counselors during the examination and provided consultation data.
Given the information and scenario found in the hospital, committee spokesperson Cassiano Ucker (União) analyzed that the high demand in the emergency department is the department’s biggest problem.
According to the alderman, the lack of pediatrics in the UPA and basic health posts (UBS) is overloading the Children’s Hospital. Cassiano advocated improving the structure of the UPA to help increase aid.
Council Member Cassiano Ucker, MD, was on GIRO ND on Joinville’s NDFM radio this Thursday (04) to report on the actions of the Joinville Health Task Force, which continues with visits to health posts in the city and hopes to complete the report in 60 days, in which will highlight possible service gaps in Joinville.
