The main character could have a completely different appearance!
When works of art—regardless of niche—begin to be produced, the initial ideas are usually subject to change and adaptation in order to reach a point that pleases their creator. WITH manga is no different, and a good example of this is My hero academy! Do you know that deco, anime protagonist completely different look what do we know? See below!
Izuku Midoriya is the main character My hero academyyoung person born without individuality in a universe where the vast majority of people own it. Thus, he becomes frustrated until he gets the most powerful quirk of all: One for alldirectly from #1 Hero of Japan, Omnipotent (whom the boy was a big fan of).
From there, your journey to become the #1 hero in the world begins. Despite such a heavy burden, Midoriya possesses gentle appearance is sweet and kind personality. Even his original hero costume does not present a threatening nature and can even confuse his enemies who do not expect such great power from him. However, early projects Kouhei Horikoshi were very different from the end result of the character, see below:
This “prototype version” of Deku was called Mikumo Akatani. The character had messy hair that hid part of his eyes, but we can see some resemblance to the end result. His hero costume, despite also being inspired by the appearance of a rabbit, appears darker and heavier, completely more menacing.
Despite the visible difference between the prototype and the final result, perhaps one of the biggest differences lies precisely in their powers, since Deku is ninth carrier One for allwhile Mikumo aspired to be a hero, even without personality (almost like Batman or iron Man did).
Horikoshi changed his mind when one of the editors suggested the idea that if Midoriya has an inherited quirk, would single out among the other children of Class 1-A, as he would have been a special case and would have given the character the best development by putting all the training on mastering the innate quirk as a personal overcoming.
