Tom Hanks admits he’s made several movies he hates

The second risky decision is when you actually watch the movie you made. Either it works and it’s the movie you wanted to make, or it doesn’t work and it’s not the movie you wanted to make. This has nothing to do with the aftermath of Decision #3, with the critical reaction to it, which is the voice of the people version. Some will say, “I hated it.” Other people might say, “I think that’s brilliant.” Somewhere in between is what the movie really is. The fourth Rubicon is a commercial performance of the film. Because if it doesn’t make money, your career will collapse sooner than you’d like. It’s just a fact. That’s the problem”.
