The actor has a series of disputes.
In recent years, Chris Pratt became quite a controversial figure in Hollywood. Despite the fact that he starred in two of the biggest films of the year – Super Mario Bros.: The Movie This Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – The actor has been criticized for his association with churches that espouse anti-LGBTQ+ discourse and fund laws that harm the community.
During the special session Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in New York, the actor was asked about this criticism, and he gave a very unusual response to Page sixquoting a passage from a book John in the Bible.
He said he was used to the attacks “hatersand that this is nothing new. Finally, he still says that’s it. Jesus Christ was accepted by comparing himself to a Nazirite:
“If you were of the world, then the world would love its own, but since you are not of the world, but I chose you from the world, the world hates you. That’s John 15, verses 18 to 20. That’s the way it is, nothing new. 2000 years ago they hated [Jesus Cristo] Also.“
This response followed Pratt’s allegations of involvement in hillsong church, a giant church in the USA with branches in New York, Los Angeles and other major capitals. In the end, it was confirmed that he was not part of Hillsong and was part of Zoe Church – however, Zoya also has connections with Hillsong.
The big controversy surrounding Hillsong and its affiliates revolves around support and financing for anti-LGBTQ+ laws. In addition, Hillsong also accepts conversion campswho promise to “non-transform” LGBTQIA+ people.
