Do you know who’s who in Marvel’s Halloween Special?

Last Friday (7th) miracle studios launched its first halloween special in Disney+inspired by classic monster movies and has a very sinister aura. Werewolf in the night this is a work very different from what we are used to seeing, since it is an aesthetic experiment that does not try to make so many connections with everything that is in Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Werewolf (Jack Russell)

Elsa Bloodstone

Made Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning as well as Michael Lopezfearless Elsa Bloodstone descended from a lineage of monster hunters associated in one way or another with blood stonea mystical meteor shard that can detect monsters and enhance its owner’s powers.

Plays Elsa in the special Laura Donnelly and its plot is very similar to that of the comics: she needs to find a way to preserve her father’s legacy, although she does not agree with the position of the Bloodstone clan – which is why she enters the tournament to get the Bloodstone.

Man Thing (Ted Sallis)

First appearance in comics: Wild Tales #1 (May 1971)

Co-creation Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway as well as Gray Morrowcharm Man-Thing appeared in comics in a black-and-white magazine designed to draw the public’s attention to horror comics from other publishers.

He is kidnapped and pursued at a tournament at Bloodstone Manor.

Ulysses Bloodstone

First appearance in comics: Weird Tales #73 (October 1959)

Ulysses Bloodstone was a legendary monster hunter from the comics Marvelentered into Marvel Presents #11972. However, he had already appeared many years ago, in October 1959, in the magazine Weird Tales (but at the time he used the nickname Frank).

was born in Hyborian Age – that is, about 8 thousand years before the birth of Christ – he eventually found a meteorite on Earth that had mystical properties, and proceeded to use it as his blood stone. Ulysses spent years on end hunting down every monster he encountered, believing them to be an aberration from nature.

It wasn’t until the 20th century that he actually adopted the name “Ulysses” and started building his own family, having children. Elsa as well as Cullen Bloodstone. After a long hunt for the Conspiracy, he died in Rampant Hulk #8since 1978. Ulysses has already been on some adventures with teams such as defenders and Avengers.

In the special, Ulysses Bloodstone appears as a reanimated corpse that invites monster hunters to hunt. He’s a puppet, but his voice is made Richard Dixonand the character doesn’t have much notoriety other than the scene where he talks about the tournament and the monster to be hunted.
