‘Stranger Things: Season 5’ will have a significant time jump, creators confirm
The Duffer Brothers Say They Plan To Push The Story A Few Years For The Final Season
In the real world, the gap between the third and fourth seasons very strange things ran for nearly three years, but the plot only developed six months between one wave of episodes and the next. In the fifth year, this will change.
According to the co-author Ross Duffer, the production discusses the introduction of a major time jump in the fifth season. The only reason this hasn’t been set is because it’s a change in original plans and the team hasn’t finished two episodes of the upcoming Volume 2 yet.
In an interview with TVLineRoss Duffer stated:
“I’m sure we’ll take a time jump. Ideally, we would have filmed the fourth and fifth seasons in one go, but there was no real way to do that. So that’s a question we’ll be raising with our writers when we start work in the new year. Believe it or not, we are still working on the fourth season. We’re trying to close the last two episodes, which are huge.”
It is worth recalling that the fifth season very strange things will be the last, so the creators want to make sure the output satisfies, as explained Matt Duffer:”The ending is the tricky part. Obviously it’s very stressful because we really want to get it right.”
A production start date for the fifth season has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, volume 1 of the fourth season very strange things already in the catalog Netflixand volume 2 – with two episodes of two hours each – comes out in July 1.
