This Monday, the Federal Highway Police (PRF) found a pickup truck with a history of theft on a BR-101 in Itapema, on the north coast of South South Carolina (4). The car was distributed with false numbers, and the chassis number was forged.
The police approached the driver of a Toyota Hilux, who was driving around with clearly Contagem (MG) plates. During the inspection of the car, it turned out that the numbers were fake, and revealed the falsification of the chassis number.
The car’s engine number could verify that the car was originally registered in Belo Horizonte (MG), owned by a car rental company, and had a theft/robbery record.
As a result, the driver, a 53-year-old man, was taken along with the truck to the Itapema police station. He will be responsible for receiving and forging the identification signal.
