On Monday, civilian police found (3) a shipment of polycarbonate stolen from a company in Araquari, a city north of Santa Catarina. The stolen material worth 400,000 reais was found in Itajai, on the north coast of the state, and four people were arrested.
The investigation showed that the cargo was to be delivered to the municipality of Pinhais in the state of Paraná. Arriving at the indicated place, the civilian police did not find the cargo. In Joinville, after intensive investigative work, it was determined that the material could have been sold in the city of Itajai. The police identified the suspect and then posed as a buyer interested in purchasing the product.
After collecting information, the region’s civilian police went to Itajai, where they found the suspect and three other people, as well as materials stolen from the Araquari company. The suspects were arrested for committing a skilled reception. The refurbished product was delivered to the victim company.
